Electrochemiluminescence Immunoassay (ECLIA) is a type of antibody or serology test that is used to detect the presence of IgG II antibodies in the serum and plasma of an individual.
Turnaround time of results: 24 HOURS
Test Procedure: Blood sample is drawn from the vein in the arm. Sample is collected and taken to the laboratory for examination. Sample is then processed using a machine to check for antibodies.
Timing: The ECLIA test is best performed 3-4 weeks after COVID-19 infection or post-vaccination.
Result: A reactive test result means that you may have been infected with SARS-CoV-2 at some time in the past or you may have developed antibodies against the virus post-vaccination.
