This is a home service MMR (tigdas at beke) and/or chickenpox/varicella (bulutong) vaccination administered by a licensed medical practitioner and includes a vaccination card.
Why you need this:
Measles, Mumps, & Rubella can cause severe health complications, including deafness, pneumonia, meningitis, and even death, while Chickenpox can lead to skin infections, pneumonia, and even brain damage.
Frequency of shots, dosing schedule for children and adults:
Varicella:
Children: Two doses of the vaccine are recommended, with the first dose given between 12 and 15 months of age and the second dose given between 4 and 6 years of age.
Adults who have not previously received the vaccine or had chickenpox: Two doses of the vaccine, with the second dose given 4 to 8 weeks after the first.
MMR:
Children: the first dose of the MMR vaccine is typically given at 12-15 months of age, and the second dose at 4-6 years of age.
Adults: Single dose only.
MMRV:
Children: the first dose of the MMRV vaccine is typically given at 12-15 months of age, and the second dose at 4-6 years of age.
Adults: Single dose only.
Who can receive this:
The Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Chickenpox vaccines are safe for most people, including infants, children, and adults. However, those with a weakened immune system or a severe allergy to any component of the vaccine should not receive it.
Who CANNOT receive this:
The vaccine should not be administered to individuals who have had a severe allergic reaction to any of the vaccine components, individuals with weakened immune systems, or pregnant women. It is always best to consult with a healthcare provider before getting vaccinated, especially if you have any concerns or underlying health conditions.
