This is a home service hepatitis vaccination administered by a licensed medical practitioner and includes a vaccination card. The Hepatitis vaccine is a series of shots that protect against Hepatitis A and B, two viruses that can cause serious liver damage.

Why you need this:
Hepatitis is a contagious disease that can spread through contact with infected blood or bodily fluids, contaminated food or water, or through sexual contact. The Hepatitis vaccine is a safe and effective way to protect yourself from these viruses.

Frequency of shots, dosing schedule for children and adults:

Hepatitis A:

The vaccine can be given to children and adults. 1-2 doses depending on the brand availability:
Havrix by GSK - 2 doses, 6 months apart
Mevac A by Zhejiang Pukang - 1 dose only

Hepatitis B:
Three (3) doses:
First dose – Any preferred date
Second dose – One (1) month after the first dose
Third dose – Five (5) months after the second dose

Children:
The first dose is given soon after birth, the second dose is given at 1-2 months of age, and the third dose is given at 6 months of age.
Adults: the second dose is given one month after the first, and the third dose is given six months after the first.

Hepatitis A & B:

Three (3) doses:
First dose – Any preferred date
Second dose – One (1) month after the first dose
Third dose – Five (5) months after the second dose

Who can receive this:
The Hepatitis vaccine is recommended for everyone, especially those who are at higher risk of exposure to the virus, such as healthcare workers, travelers to high-risk areas, and people with chronic liver disease.

Who CANNOT receive this:
People who are allergic to any component of the vaccine or have had a severe allergic reaction to a previous dose should not receive the vaccine. Additionally, those who are currently ill or have a weakened immune system should consult with their healthcare provider before receiving the vaccine.
